A bit about me.
After qualifying, I worked as a stylist in the newly opened Harringtons in Marlow before moving to TONI&GUY, where initially I worked at their Knightsbridge salon, followed by Chiswick before becoming salon manager at their Henley Salon.
Whilst working at TONI&GUY, the opportunity arose to widen my experience & travel the world, working as a stylist in several of their International Salons. This took me to Singapore, Australia (Sydney, Perth & Melbourne) and finally New Zealand.
On returning to the UK, I worked in the Home Counties for Altered Image. I began working with magazines such as Marie Clare & Vogue, was a finalist in the Prestigious British Hairdressing Awards and then went into a partnership with Altered Image, opening a salon in Amersham.
After marrying and having a son, I decided it was time to open my own Salon – Steve Lupton Hair. I initially set up in a local spa, but soon after purchased premises in Berkhamstead.

I also opened a couple of further salons, which I sold during lockdown, so I could concentrate on running the Berkhamstead Branch, although even that had to close for many months due to imposed Government restrictions..

Post-covid there has been a notable trend for people in all industries to work from home and that coupled with rising overheads and ever-increasing bills, which have inevitably forced price increases for customers has helped me make my decision to go mobile! There is no time like the present! This will allow me to keep my prices fair and customers can receive the same quality of workmanship from the comfort of their own home, without the stress of leaving the house and parking.
